Ingredients

  • 12 King's Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 8 –10 slices cheddar cheese or more as desired
  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired.
  • Add the softened butter, garlic powder, dried oregano, and chopped parsley to a small bowl. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Carefully slice each Hawaiian roll vertically into thirds.
  • Spread the garlic butter evenly over the cut sides of the rolls.
  • Layer the cheddar cheese between the bread sections, making sure the cheese covers most of the bread for an even melt.
  • Arrange the Hawaiian Roll Grilled Cheese Sliders on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, carefully flipping halfway through, until the bread is golden and the cheese is completely melted.
  • Serve immediately while warm and cheesy.

Notes

Sharp cheddar gives these cheesy Hawaiian rolls a stronger, richer flavor, while mild cheddar makes them especially kid-friendly. Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or a combination of melting cheeses can also be used.
Pair the sliders with warm tomato soup for a classic combination. Marinara sauce, roasted tomato dip, or a simple salad also works well for serving.
