Ingredients
  

  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ¼ cups warm water
  • ¼ cup olive oil plus extra for topping
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and olive oil.
  • Pour in the yeast mixture and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  • Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1–2 hours, until doubled.
  • Transfer dough to an oiled baking pan and gently stretch it out.
  • Use your fingers to dimple the surface of the dough.
  • Drizzle olive oil on top, then sprinkle garlic, parmesan, and herbs evenly.
  • Bake the Garlic Parmesan Focaccia Bread at 425°F (218°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  • Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute parmesan with another hard cheese if needed.
  • Serve with soups, dips, or as sandwich bread.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy twist.
