Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound fresh strawberries stems removed
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 1/2 –5 cups water divided
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh-squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  • Wash and hull the strawberries.
  • Place the strawberries in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  • For a smoother texture, strain the strawberry puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and 2 cups of water.
  • Heat over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally until the sugar completely dissolves.
  • Remove the syrup from the heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
  • Strain the fresh lemon juice through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
  • Add the cooled simple syrup and strawberry puree to the pitcher. Stir until fully combined.
  • Refrigerate until chilled.
  • Before serving, add 2 1/2 cups of cold water and stir well.
  • Taste the Strawberry Lemonade Recipe and add additional water if desired.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy.

Notes

  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves for extra freshness.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used if fresh strawberries are unavailable.
  • Serve alongside grilled foods, sandwiches, salads, or picnic favorites.
  • For a stronger berry flavor, add a few extra strawberries to the puree.
