Steak with Creamy Cajun Shrimp Sauce

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks about 1 inch thick
  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
  • Pat the steaks dry using paper towels. Peel and devein the shrimp if necessary. Mince the garlic and chop the parsley.
  • Step 2: Season the Steaks
  • Season both sides of each steak with salt, pepper, and one tablespoon of Cajun seasoning.
  • Step 3: Sear the Steaks
  • Heat a large skillet over high heat.
  • Melt one tablespoon butter.
  • Cook the steaks for about 4–5 minutes per side depending on thickness and preferred doneness.
  • Transfer to a plate and loosely cover with foil.
  • Step 4: Cook the Shrimp
  • Reduce heat to medium.
  • Add remaining butter.
  • Cook garlic for about 30 seconds.
  • Add shrimp.
  • Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
  • Step 5: Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce
  • Reduce heat to low.
  • Pour in heavy cream.
  • Add remaining Cajun seasoning.
  • Whisk until smooth.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese.
  • Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  • Step 6: Finish the Dish
  • Return the steaks to the skillet.
  • Spoon shrimp and creamy sauce over the steaks.
  • Allow everything to heat together for 2–3 minutes.
  • Step 7: Serve
  • Garnish generously with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, pasta, or rice.

Notes

  • Substitute sirloin with filet mignon, New York strip, or ribeye.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor.
  • Sprinkle extra Parmesan before serving.
  • Serve with garlic bread for an indulgent meal.
