Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion white, brown, or yellow
  • 1 tbsp jalapeño pepper seeds removed, roughly chopped
  • 400 g / 14 oz canned crushed tomatoes
  • 4 oz / 120g canned diced green chiles
  • 1/4 cup packed cilantro/coriander roughly chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin

Instructions
 

  • Add the chopped onion and jalapeño pepper to a food processor first.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes, diced green chiles, cilantro, lime juice, garlic, sugar, salt, black pepper, and cumin.
  • Blend until the Restaurant Style Salsa reaches your desired consistency. For a smoother salsa, blend a little longer.
  • Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving for the best flavor.
  • Serve with corn chips, tacos, burritos, grilled chicken, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

 

  • You can substitute cilantro with parsley if preferred.
  • Add extra jalapeño for more spice.
  • Serve alongside nachos, quesadillas, tacos, or grilled meats.
