Pumpkin Pie Cheese and Crackers – Easy Fall Appetizer
Pumpkin Pie Cheese and Crackers are savory, no-bake Thanksgiving appetizers shaped like miniature pumpkin pie slices.Made with cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and crispy crackers.Ready in approximately 20 minutes with just four ingredients.
Insert a size 21 decorating tip into a disposable decorating bag. Trim the pointed end of the bag if necessary to allow the decorating tip to fit securely.
Step 2: Fill the decorating bag
Spoon the light cream cheese into the decorating bag. Secure the top with a rubber band to prevent the cream cheese from escaping while piping.
Step 3: Cut the cheddar cheese
Cut the block of cheddar cheese into small triangles that fit comfortably on top of the Triscuit Thin Crisps.
Each triangle should measure approximately 1½ inches per side and about ½ inch thick.
Try to keep the triangles similar in size so the finished appetizers have a consistent appearance.
Step 4: Prepare the cracker bases
Arrange the Triscuit Thin Crisps on a clean work surface or serving platter.
Pipe a small amount of cream cheese onto the center of each cracker.
Step 5: Add the cheddar triangles
Place one cheddar cheese triangle on top of each cream cheese-covered cracker.
Press gently to secure the cheese without breaking the cracker.
Step 6: Create the pie crust
Add a small dab of cream cheese to the bottom half of a Chicken in a Biskit cracker.
Attach the cracker to one side of the cheddar triangle to create the appearance of a miniature pie crust.
Repeat with the remaining cheese triangles.
Step 7: Add the whipped cream effect
Pipe a small decorative dollop of cream cheese onto the top of each cheddar triangle.
The piped cream cheese should resemble the whipped cream traditionally served on pumpkin pie.
Step 8: Arrange and serve
Transfer your Pumpkin Pie Cheese and Crackers to a serving platter, arranging them neatly so their miniature pie shapes are visible.
Serve immediately for the best flavor and cracker texture.
Notes
Cheese variations: Medium cheddar, sharp cheddar, or Colby cheese can be used for the miniature pie filling. Choose an orange-colored cheese to maintain the pumpkin pie appearance.Cream cheese alternatives: Regular cream cheese may be substituted for light cream cheese if you prefer a richer flavor and firmer decorative topping.Cracker alternatives: If Chicken in a Biskit crackers are unavailable or unsuitable for your dietary requirements, use a similarly shaped, halal-suitable savory cracker.Serving suggestions: Arrange the appetizers on a wooden board or white serving platter alongside grapes, apple slices, nuts, and other holiday finger foods.Make-ahead preparation: Cut the cheddar triangles and prepare the decorating bag ahead of time. Store the cheese in the refrigerator and assemble the appetizers shortly before serving.
