Oven Baked Chicken Breast

Juicy oven baked chicken breast with simple seasoning.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts 150–180g / 5–6 oz each
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Seasoning:

  • 1 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano or thyme
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Garnish (optional):

  • Finely chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 425°F / 220°C (200°C fan).
  • Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1.5 cm for even cooking.
  • Mix all seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Line a baking tray with foil and parchment paper.
  • Place chicken upside down on the tray. Drizzle with half the olive oil and rub evenly.
  • Sprinkle half the seasoning over the chicken.
  • Flip chicken, drizzle remaining oil, and coat with the rest of the seasoning.
  • Bake Oven Baked Chicken Breast for 18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Remove from oven and let rest for 3–5 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

  • Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or salad.
  • You can slice leftovers for sandwiches or wraps.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
