Orange Glazed Salmon Recipe

Orange Glazed Salmon is a quick skillet dinner made with fresh orange juice, honey, garlic, and soy sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 teaspoon water optional
  • Fresh orange slices optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  • Place the salmon skin-side up in the skillet and cook for 3–5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the salmon and cook another 3–4 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and loosely cover with foil.
  • Reduce the heat to medium.
  • Whisk together the orange juice, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and optional cornstarch slurry.
  • Pour the sauce into the same skillet and cook for 30–60 seconds until slightly thickened.
  • Return the Orange Glazed Salmon to the skillet and spoon the glaze over each fillet.
  • Garnish with fresh orange slices and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve over steamed jasmine rice for a complete meal.
  • Roasted asparagus, broccoli, or green beans make excellent side dishes.
  • Mashed potatoes or quinoa also pair beautifully with this citrus salmon dinner.
  • Replace butter with olive oil if preferred.
  • Adjust the honey to make the glaze sweeter or less sweet according to taste.
