Ingredients
  

Chicken Wings

  • 4 pounds chicken wings flats and drumettes
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

Homemade Lemon Pepper Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons coarse black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

Lemon Butter Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your grill to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the lemon zest, black pepper, kosher salt, minced garlic, and onion powder.
  • Pat the chicken wings completely dry using paper towels.
  • Drizzle or spray the wings with avocado oil.
  • Coat the wings evenly with the homemade lemon pepper seasoning.
  • Arrange the Lemon Pepper Wings directly on the grill grates.
  • Grill for 15–20 minutes, turning every 3–5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 170–175°F (77–79°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and fresh lemon juice.
  • Transfer the cooked wings directly into the bowl and toss until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with extra cracked black pepper, fresh lemon zest, or chopped parsley if desired.
  • Serve immediately while hot and crispy

Notes

  • These wings can also be cooked in an air fryer or oven.
  • Pair with ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or garlic aioli.
  • Serve alongside celery sticks, carrot sticks, fries, or coleslaw.
  • For a richer finish, increase the butter to 5 tablespoons.
