Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Rinse the tilapia fillets under cool water and pat them completely dry with paper towels.
  • Arrange the fillets in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
  • Pour the fresh lemon juice evenly over each fillet.
  • Drizzle the melted butter across the fish.
  • Sprinkle the minced garlic, dried parsley, and black pepper evenly over the fillets.
  • Bake the Lemon Garlic Tilapia for about 25–30 minutes, or until the fish turns opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges and your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Fresh tilapia provides the best texture, but frozen fillets work well when completely thawed.
  • You can substitute cod, haddock, or sole if tilapia isn't available.
  • Add a pinch of paprika or Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a crisp green salad for a lighter meal.
