Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon paprika sweet or smoked
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the salt, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  • Generously spray both sides of the chicken with cooking spray.
  • Season both sides evenly with the prepared spice mixture.
  • Bake the Juicy Oven Baked Chicken Breasts for 17–20 minutes, or until the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C) on an instant-read thermometer.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the chicken to rest for 5–7 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad.
  • Italian seasoning can be replaced with dried oregano and basil.
  • Fresh herbs such as thyme or rosemary make excellent additions.
  • Chicken thighs may be substituted, but cooking time will vary.
