Italian Chopped Salad Recipe in Just 10 Minutes

Ingredients
  

For the Dressing

  • cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¾ teaspoon ground black pepper

For the Salad

  • 4 cups iceberg lettuce finely chopped
  • 3 cups romaine lettuce finely chopped
  • 4 Persian cucumbers chopped
  • ½ cup turkey salami finely chopped
  • 1 15-ounce can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • ½ cup Kalamata olives chopped
  • ¾ cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Extra parmesan cheese for topping optional

Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, oregano, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  • Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  • Finely chop the iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, cucumbers, and turkey salami.
  • Add the chopped vegetables and turkey salami to a large mixing bowl along with the garbanzo beans, olives, tomatoes, and parmesan cheese.
  • Toss everything together until evenly combined.
  • Pour the dressing over the Italian Chopped Salad and toss again until all ingredients are coated.
  • Taste and top with additional parmesan cheese if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy this fresh and flavorful Italian Chopped Salad.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey salami.
