Honey Garlic Air Fryer Chicken Bites

Ingredients
  

  • 1,000 g chicken breasts
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper

For the honey garlic sauce:

  • 4 tsp sesame oil
  • 6 garlic cloves crushed
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt and lemon juice to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cube the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  • In separate bowls, place flour and panko breadcrumbs. Season each with salt, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Whisk eggs in a third bowl.
  • Coat chicken pieces in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  • Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and lightly spray with oil.
  • Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the Honey Garlic Air Fryer Chicken Bites sauce by combining sesame oil, garlic, honey, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, and cornstarch mixed with water in a saucepan.
  • Simmer until slightly thickened, then season with salt and lemon juice.
  • Toss the cooked chicken in the sauce until well coated.
  • Serve immediately with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Serve with rice, noodles, or a fresh salad.
  • Add chili flakes for extra heat.
  • Substitute chicken thighs for juicier bites.
