Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without cutting all the way through.
Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Butter the insides of each roll evenly.
Place the bottom halves onto the skillet and fill generously with cheese. Add tomatoes or turkey ham if desired.
Close with the top halves and gently press down.
Grill the Hawaiian Roll Grilled Cheese for about 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Flip carefully and cook until the cheese is fully melted.
Remove from heat, slice, and serve hot.
