Greek Chicken Meatballs

Greek Chicken Meatballs are juicy, herb-packed meatballs made with ground chicken, garlic, dill, mint, and lemon zest.
Cook them in a skillet until golden and serve with rice, salad, feta, and homemade tzatziki.
A healthy Mediterranean meal that's ready in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup fresh dill chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh mint chopped
  • ¼ cup finely diced red onion
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For Serving

  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Crumbled feta cheese
  • Diced cucumber
  • Chopped tomato
  • Cooked white rice
  • Homemade tzatziki sauce

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, salt, pepper, cumin, oregano, red pepper flakes, dill, mint, onion, garlic, and lemon zest.
  • Mix gently with clean hands until everything is evenly combined without overmixing.
  • Scoop the mixture using a tablespoon or cookie scoop and roll into evenly sized meatballs.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the Greek Chicken Meatballs in a single layer, leaving space between each one. Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until browned.
  • Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Cook in batches if needed.
  • Serve over chopped romaine with cucumber, tomatoes, feta, cooked rice, and a generous spoonful of homemade tzatziki.

Notes

  • Swap white rice for quinoa or cauliflower rice.
  • Ground turkey works well if desired.
  • Add chopped parsley for even more fresh herb flavor.
  • Serve inside pita wraps for a delicious Mediterranean sandwich.
  • Leftovers make excellent meal prep chicken meatballs for lunches throughout the week.
