Ingredients

For the Wings

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder optional
  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 5 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil and place a wire rack on top if available. This helps the wings cook evenly and become extra crispy.
  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Place them in a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the wings. Toss until every wing is evenly coated.
  • Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the prepared baking tray, leaving space between each piece.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, turning the wings halfway through cooking to ensure even browning and crispiness.
  • While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook gently for about 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove from the heat.
  • When the Garlic Parmesan Wings are fully cooked and crispy, remove them from the oven. Pour the warm garlic butter mixture over the wings and gently toss until evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle the freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the wings and return them to the oven for another 5 minutes until the cheese melts slightly and the wings develop a beautiful golden finish.
  • Serve immediately while hot with ranch dressing, blue cheese dip, or your favorite fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • Fresh parsley adds brightness, but dried parsley can be substituted in smaller amounts.
  • Grated Pecorino Romano can be used in place of Parmesan for a sharper flavor.
  • Serve these wings alongside celery sticks, carrot sticks, fries, potato wedges, or a fresh garden salad.
  • For a richer garlic flavor, add one extra clove of minced garlic to the butter sauce.
