Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook for about 10 minutes, breaking it up as it browns, until no longer pink. Season with salt and black pepper.
Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for about 3 minutes, until the vegetables begin to soften.
Stir in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, sweet potatoes, and broth.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sweet potatoes are tender and the Easy Turkey Chili is thick and flavorful.
Remove from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Top with cilantro, shredded Cheddar, Greek yogurt, or sour cream if desired.
