Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 small head broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 red capsicum diced
  • 1 stem green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup edamame beans shelled
  • 1 cup snow peas sliced

Gluten-Free Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
  • Cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the jasmine rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  • Add 2½ cups water and cook the rice until tender, then steam with the lid on.
  • In a saucepan, combine tamari, honey, water, ginger, garlic, pepper, and vinegar.
  • Mix cornstarch with a little liquid, then add back to the sauce and heat until thick and glossy.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook the ground beef until browned.
  • Add broccoli and capsicum, then pour over the sauce and stir well.
  • Soak edamame briefly in hot water, then drain.
  • Assemble bowls with rice, teriyaki beef mixture, snow peas, and edamame.
  • Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  • These Easy Teriyaki Beef Bowls are now ready to serve.

Notes

  • Substitute beef with ground chicken or turkey if desired
  • Add carrots or mushrooms for extra vegetables
  • Serve with lime wedges for brightness
