Bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions. For dried pasta, cook about 1 minute less than instructed for a perfect al dente texture. Reserve at least 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and cook gently for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Do not allow it to brown.
Reduce the heat slightly. Pour in the cream and bring it to a gentle simmer.
Gradually add the grated Parmesan in 2–3 additions, whisking well after each addition until smooth.
Stir in ¼ cup reserved pasta water and the black pepper. Simmer gently for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add the cooked pasta and lemon juice to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated. Allow the Easy Creamy Lemon Pasta Recipe to cook for another 1–2 minutes. Add extra pasta water if needed for a silky sauce.
Taste and season with salt if needed.
Serve immediately with extra Parmesan, fresh lemon zest, and freshly cracked black pepper.
