Ingredients
  

  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup milk 2% or whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ –1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For Serving

  • 3 –4 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ¼ –½ cup fresh berries blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries
  • ½ –1 cup plain yogurt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Grease an 8-inch oven-safe skillet or baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
  • Sift in the flour and whisk until combined.
  • Gradually pour in the milk while whisking continuously to create a smooth batter.
  • Add the granulated sugar and vanilla extract and whisk until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared skillet.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the breakfast puff is golden brown and dramatically puffed around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately dust with powdered sugar.
  • Top with fresh berries and serve with plain yogurt if desired.
  • Enjoy warm for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

  • Fresh berries can be substituted with thawed frozen berries.
  • Honey or maple syrup can be drizzled on top for additional sweetness.
  • This recipe pairs beautifully with coffee, tea, or fresh orange juice.
  • An 8-inch cast-iron skillet provides excellent results.
