Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams dried pasta or 300 grams fresh
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 200 grams raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic finely diced
  • ¼ – ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¾ cup cream
  • 50 grams parmesan finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Lemon zest for serving
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ packed cup Italian parsley finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta in well-salted boiling water. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Sear shrimp for 1 minute per side until just cooked. Remove and set aside.
  • Lower heat to medium. Add butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Cook briefly until fragrant.
  • Pour in cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  • Stir in parmesan gradually, allowing it to melt smoothly.
  • Add ¼ cup pasta water and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in lemon juice quickly.
  • Add cooked pasta and toss well in the sauce. Let it simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  • Add parsley and shrimp, tossing gently to combine.
  • Serve Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta topped with lemon zest and extra parsley.

  • You can substitute shrimp with chicken or mushrooms.
