Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cups chicken broth or more as needed
  • ½ cup cream
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 20-oz package cheese tortellini, uncooked
  • cup grated parmesan cheese or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove from heat and whisk in flour until smooth.
  • Return skillet to medium-low heat. Slowly whisk in chicken broth until smooth. Add cream, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add uncooked tortellini to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until tortellini is nearly tender. Add more broth if needed.
  • Remove lid and stir in parmesan cheese and cream cheese until fully melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning and consistency as desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your Creamy Garlic Parmesan Tortellini.
