- 16.3 oz Grands! Buttermilk Biscuits
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. If using a deep fryer, heat the oil to 350°F.
In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
Separate the biscuits from the can. Use a small round cutter or bottle cap to cut a hole in the center of each biscuit. Save the centers for donut holes.
Carefully place the biscuits into the hot oil. Fry until the bottom becomes lightly golden, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown. This usually takes about 1½–2 minutes total.
Transfer the donuts and donut holes to paper towels to absorb excess oil.
While still warm, coat all sides of each donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Repeat with the remaining donuts and serve warm for the best Cinnamon Sugar Biscuit Donuts experience.
- Refrigerated biscuit dough makes this recipe incredibly quick.
- Donut holes cook faster than full donuts, so watch them closely.
- Pair with coffee, hot chocolate, or milk for a comforting treat.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar on top for a bakery-style finish.
