Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ounce milk or semisweet chocolate for molten center
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder

For topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • Rainbow nonpareils sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • In a microwave-safe mug, add flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  • Place the chocolate chunk in the center of the batter.
  • Microwave the Chocolate Molten Lava Mug Cake for 1 minute 30 seconds.
  • If needed, cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  • The center should remain slightly gooey—do not overcook.
