Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup salted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips 12 oz

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line three baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until the mixture becomes light and creamy, about 1 minute.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  • Roll 2–3 tablespoons of dough into balls and place evenly spaced on prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake the Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe for 8–10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Store dough in the refrigerator for up to 3 days before baking.
  • Freeze cookie dough balls for up to 3 months.
  • Serve warm with milk, coffee, or hot chocolate.
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips work best, but milk or dark chocolate can also be used.
