Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces pasta fusilli or similar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil optional
  • Red pepper flakes optional
  • Extra parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 2 tablespoons of pasta water before draining.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and garlic, cooking for 5–6 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove excess liquid if needed.
  • Stir in pasta sauce and parmesan cheese until well combined.
  • Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Mix thoroughly.
  • Top with mozzarella cheese, cover, and let it melt for 1–2 minutes.
  • Serve your Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet hot with basil, red pepper flakes, and extra parmesan.

Notes

  • Use low-fat mozzarella if you prefer a lighter version.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
