Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces pasta fusilli or preferred type
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pound chicken breast cut into small pieces
  • ½ tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups pasta sauce
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil optional
  • Red pepper flakes optional
  • Extra parmesan cheese for topping optional

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 2 tablespoons of pasta water, then drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chicken and garlic, cooking for 5–6 minutes until lightly browned.
  • Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove excess liquid if needed.
  • Add pasta sauce and parmesan cheese, mixing well.
  • Add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet and toss to combine.
  • Top with mozzarella cheese, cover, and let it melt for 1–2 minutes.
  • Garnish with basil, red pepper flakes, and extra parmesan before serving.

Notes

  • Use whole wheat pasta for a healthier option
  • Add a splash of cream for a richer sauce
  • Serve with garlic bread or salad for a complete meal
