Cheeseburger Pretzel Bombs

Cheeseburger Pretzel Bombs are soft dough bites stuffed with beef meatballs and cheese.
Boiled for a classic pretzel texture, then baked until golden.
Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or party food.

Ingredients
  

  • 450 g pizza dough room temperature
  • 7 slices American cheese halved
  • 14 beef mini meatballs halal, thawed
  • 45 g baking soda
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Coarse sea salt
  • Yellow mustard optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Divide dough into 14 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 20 cm strip.
  • Place half a cheese slice and one beef meatball at the end, then roll tightly to seal.
  • Ensure the dough fully encloses the filling and place on the tray.
  • Bring 1.2 liters of water to a boil and add baking soda.
  • Boil each dough ball for 20–30 seconds, then remove and pat dry.
  • Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Swap American cheese with cheddar or mozzarella
  • Serve with ketchup, cheese sauce, or garlic dip
  • Add pickles inside for a cheeseburger twist
