Divide dough into 14 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 20 cm strip.
Place half a cheese slice and one beef meatball at the end, then roll tightly to seal.
Ensure the dough fully encloses the filling and place on the tray.
Bring 1.2 liters of water to a boil and add baking soda.
Boil each dough ball for 20–30 seconds, then remove and pat dry.
Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
