Burger Bowls – Easy Cheeseburger Bowl Recipe

Enjoy all the flavors of a cheeseburger in these easy Burger Bowls.Made with seasoned beef, crispy potatoes, fresh toppings, and homemade burger sauce.Perfect for meal prep or a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients
  

Spice Mix

  • teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or mixed herbs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Burger Bowls

  • 2 –3 medium potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 500 g lean ground beef
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Dairy-free or regular cheese
  • Pickle slices

Homemade Burger Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine all the spice mix ingredients.
  • Wash and cut the potatoes into fries or wedges. Pat dry thoroughly.
  • Toss the potatoes with 1 tablespoon olive oil and half of the spice mix.
  • Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 30–40 minutes or air fry for about 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  • Meanwhile, heat the remaining olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground beef, breaking it apart while cooking until browned.
  • Sprinkle over the remaining spice mix and continue cooking until the beef is well browned and excess moisture has evaporated.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together all the burger sauce ingredients until smooth.
  • Assemble the Burger Bowls by dividing the crispy potatoes between serving bowls. Add shredded lettuce, seasoned beef, cheese, and pickle slices.
  • Drizzle generously with the homemade burger sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Sweet potatoes make an excellent alternative.
  • Serve with extra burger sauce on the side.
  • Add bacon-style turkey strips if desired for extra flavor.
