Ingredients
  

  • lb lean ground turkey or ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 8 oz can sliced water chestnuts, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lower-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons roasted red chili paste
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 Bibb/Butter lettuce leaves

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground turkey, garlic, and ginger. Cook for about 6 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  • Stir in green onions and chopped water chestnuts. Mix well and remove from heat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste.
  • Pour the sauce over the turkey mixture and toss until evenly coated.
  • Spoon about ¼ cup of the mixture into each lettuce leaf. Serve immediately and enjoy your Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps.

Notes

Serve with a side of steamed rice or noodles if you want a heartier meal. You can also top with sesame seeds or chopped peanuts for added texture.
