Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded evenly

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, white vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, oregano, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  • Coat each chicken breast thoroughly in the Parmesan mixture, covering both sides evenly.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Arrange the chicken in a single layer without overlapping.
  • Cook the Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken at 375°F (190°C) for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through if desired for even browning.
  • Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 2–3 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Chicken thighs may be substituted for chicken breasts with a slight increase in cooking time.
  • Fresh garlic can replace garlic powder for a bolder flavor.
  • Freshly shredded Parmesan melts and browns better than pre-packaged varieties.
  • Add extra crushed red pepper flakes if you enjoy more heat.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, roasted vegetables, or a crisp green salad.
