Ingredients

  • 2 medium potatoes diced into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 chicken breasts diced into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed and divided
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika divided
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes divided (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt divided
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced potatoes with 1 crushed garlic clove, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, half of the chili flakes, half of the salt, half of the black pepper, and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Toss until evenly coated.
  • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in an even layer.
  • Air fry for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking.
  • While the potatoes cook, add the chicken pieces to the same mixing bowl.
  • Add the remaining garlic, smoked paprika, chili flakes, salt, black pepper, thyme, and olive oil. Toss until the chicken is well coated.
  • After the potatoes have cooked for 10 minutes, remove the basket and carefully move the potatoes to one side.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the empty side of the basket.
  • Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 10 minutes, flipping both the chicken and potatoes halfway through.
  • Check the internal temperature of the chicken. It should reach 165°F (75°C).
  • Once fully cooked, remove the Air Fryer Chicken and Potatoes from the basket.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Fresh rosemary or oregano can be used instead of thyme.
  • Sweet potatoes are a delicious substitute for regular potatoes.
  • Serve with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving adds brightness and flavor.
