Ingredients
  

Honey Garlic Chicken

  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into small cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

For Serving (Optional)

  • Brown rice or white rice
  • Sliced green onions
  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped peanuts
  • Lime wedges

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the chicken lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken cubes to the hot skillet.
  • Cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  • While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
  • Turn the chicken pieces over.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet.
  • Toss the chicken to coat evenly.
  • Continue cooking for 4–5 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Serve immediately over rice if desired.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, chopped peanuts, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
