Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil or canola oil
  • pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into ½-inch cubes
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Cooked brown or white rice for serving (optional)
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped peanuts for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the cubed chicken lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Add the chicken to the hot skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned on one side.
  • While the chicken cooks, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
  • Turn the chicken pieces over and pour the sauce into the skillet.
  • Toss well to coat all the chicken pieces evenly.
  • Continue cooking for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.
  • Garnish your 15 Minute Honey Garlic Chicken with green onions, sesame seeds, chopped peanuts, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice if desired.
